Company’s revolutionary product, CANDEE, serves ads, content, and manages ad campaigns

Redondo Beach, CA - ArcoStream, a leader in streaming, caching, and encoding solutions, announced today the launch of CANDEE, its fully automated solution for delivering ads, streaming, and management of ad campaigns. In addition, ArcoStream has launched its advertising network, by which users can run pre and post roll advertising in exchange for reduced rate streaming and content delivery.

CANDEE is an acronym for Content and Advertising Network Delivery Engine. It is the only product in the streaming and advertising marketplace whereby a user can upload an advertisement, have it transcoded into the major formats such as Windows Media, Flash, Real, and QuickTime, and can begin a major ad campaign within ten minutes. CANDEE not only delivers rich media ads, it can also deliver static images and animated ads that comply with IAB standards.

The online video advertising industry is exploding. With total industry revenue approaching $400 million in 2006, this figure is expected to skyrocket to $10 billion by the year 2010. Companies are searching for ways to monetize their audio and video content effectively, yet many times it is cost prohibitive because of the high costs of content delivery.

CANDEE essentially streamlines the process, providing each of these services online, cutting the production cycle from several days to ten minutes. Features of the system include account and invoice creation, ad invocation code for pre and post rolls, targeting with placement and geotargeting, as well as capping and pacing. One of the best features of the system is its categorizer, which helps match the appropriate ad with content by sampling the page or the video or audio content behind the ad. The more advertisements that are served, the more information the system processes, and the better targeted the ads become.

"This is really exciting for us as a company," said Todd Loewenstein, CEO of ArcoStream. "With the streaming and content delivery industry approaching more than ten years old, all of this time, we have been looking for a way to help website publishers make money from their content. Traditional content delivery networks increase the cost of adding content by charging you more for bandwidth and storage. We are turning this model on its head—the more content you add, the more ads we can run, and therefore, the more revenue you will generate for your site. This allows publishers to do what they do best, which is produce content."
